You Are Worth It

Whether we have a burning passion for woodworking, stamping, cardmaking, ice sculpting or some other creative endeavor, we all have a little creative side in us. Sometimes we forget it's there, and sometimes we choose not to nurture it for a variety of reasons.

Sometimes we feel like we don't have time to do creative things, or we feel a little guilty because it's taking us away from our to-do list. Maybe we feel--at times--that we just aren't supposed to be the type of person who does creative things, because we're not a creative professional.

We all need at least a little bit of creativity in our lives. It helps us recharge, see things from different perspectives, get out of our boring ruts, and maybe even find skills and talents we didn't even know we had.

Think about it this way: if we don't take the time now to start trying some creative things, what will we have when it's time to retire, and it's more difficult to learn new things? Sitting around with heaps of time and no work doesn't exactly sound appealing. You can only travel and volunteer for so many hours a day. Then what? So, don't feel guilty about trying creative things, think of it as an investment in your future. You might even be surprised at what you discover along the way.

Is there something you've always wished you knew how to do, or that you wished you could try? Maybe now is the perfect time to work on that wish.
